University of Agriculture held Seminars on Anti-Corruption Day
The seminar was organized by the University of Agriculture Faisalabad to observe the Anti-corruption Day on Tuesday.
FAISALABAD: Speakers at a seminar have named for joint efforts on the part of all segments of society to remove dishonesty, corruption, nepotism, discernment, plagiarism and lying from the country.
The seminar was organized by the University of Agriculture Faisalabad to observe the Anti-corruption Day on Tuesday. Speaking on the event, UAF Vice-Chancellor Dr. Iqrar Ahmad Khan said that the lecturers and parents played a key role in the character-building of any civilization. He said that if scholars come to be corrupt, it meant that there was no hope of getting rid from the threat. He said to try earnestly or persistently to persuade (someone) to do something the people to become honest.
Dr. Iqbal Zafar said that optimistic attitude was the precondition to bring fortune. He said that there was the need to change the attitude of people because negative behavior worked as a catalyst of corruption. He called for encouraging the practice of speaking truth in the society.
Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization Director Dr. Asif Ali called for finding out reasons of corruption. He said that social scientists must come onward for conducting physical investigates on the issue and its answers. He said that it would help develop a comprehensive plan to fight the danger. He said that distrust among the people was also annoying the condition. Senior Tutor Dr. Aslam Pervez said that it was a matter of relate to that many scholars, who elevated voice in contrast to corruption, were living hand to mouth.
Public Relations and Publications Principal Officer Dr. Jalal Arif said that corruption disturbs all countries and undermined institutions. He said that it was an occurrence to repeat pledge, independently and cooperatively, to restraint the threat of corruption.
Faisalabad Arts Council Director Tariq Javed advised the educational institutions to create awareness among the masses about the failing effects of corruption in the society. Institute of Rural Home Economics Dr. Naheed Abbas Chairperson also spoke on the event.
