Quaid-i-Azam University ranked among 500 Best Global Universities

In Islamabad the Quaid-i-Azam University has been ranked 496th between the 500 Best Global Universities for 2015, as stated the US News and World Report.
The university has furthermore been ranked the 89th top university in Asia.

The rankings were disclosed at the World Innovation Summit for Education in Doha. It permits likely to happen at a future date students and their parents to collate institutes before making their higher education option. It also presents the wide-ranging assessment of higher education organizations in the world.

In the Asian region, the rankings include 112 institution of higher education. Of them, University of Tokyo positions first. Between the Best Global Universities for 2015, the University of Tokyo stands 24th. This is shadowed by Peking University, Beijing (No 39 in world), Kyoto University, University of Hong Kong (No 42 in world), Seoul National University, National University of Singapore (No 55 in world), Japan (No 60 in world), the National Taiwan University, Tsinghua University, , South Korea (No 72 in world), Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel, (No 102 in world), Taiwan (No 105 in world), China (67 in world), and Fudan University, China (No 108 in world).
There are five Indian and as many Iranian universities in the positions but way ahead of the QUA. India’s University of Delhi demanded the top spot with No 316 in the world rankings, shadowed by Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (405), Indian Institute of Science (323), and Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (484).
Iran’s universities include the Sharif University of Technology (377), University of Tehran (360), Isfahan University of Technology (472), and Amirkabir University of Technology Iran (472).
