The Department of Accounting and Finance is appealing the applications for PhD scholarships in accounting and finance. The candidates are generally expected to hold a related Master’s degree in finance, accounting or a cognate subject zone. The candidates are advised that a GMAT score might be required. These scholarships cover full fees as well as maintenance allowance of no less than £14,000 annually, with heightened bursaries to approximately £25,000 available for the brilliant candidates. These scholarships will be granted to candidates on basis of their previous academic record.

Scholarship can be taken at
o The candidates are usually expected to hold a related Master’s degree in finance, accounting or a cognate subject zone. We will normally needs a performance at distinction level at Master’s degree, normally averaging more than 70 percent complete, which might also be needed in a suitable dissertation element.
o On the other hand, for the candidates not already holding or studying towards a suitable Master’s degree, our MSc programmes offer a foundation for PhD study. The Department needs distinction-level performance, both complete as well as for the dissertation element.
o The candidates are advised that a GMAT score might be required.
o Our English language requirements are for IELTS at 7.0.

The department provides intensive 4-year PhD programmes in both Accounting as well as Finance. These are the full time PhD programmes and we do not presently provide PhD study by distance-learning or on a part-time basis.
